The ancient Babylonians are responsible for time as we know it. Now we call this area Iraq.
It started with dividing a circle into 360 degrees in 3000 BCE by the Sumerians. They also divided the calendar into 12 months in 2400 BCE.
Around 1500 BC, Egyptians divided the day into 24 hours, though the hours varied with the seasons originally.
Greek astronomers made the hours equal. Between 300 to 100 BC, the Babylonians subdivided the hour into base-60 fractions: 60 minutes in an hour and 60 seconds in a minute. The base 60 of their number system lives on in our time and angle divisions.
Just consider: you can always make more money, more creations, more learnings. But you can never find more time. It’s gone, past, spent. Are you making the most of your time? Can we help you to do just that?

Working from home needs time management from preparing my reports everyday to household chores.Working with Angela,Theresa and the rest of the team makes me feel more responsible with my time. With time zone difference, it requires me to wake up 2 hours earlier with them in the morning. There are risks of lack of sleep but at the end of the day, I feel more fulfilled especially if I have done my tasks completely.
I think that saying “you’re not having enough time” is just a matter of an attitude problem so Get up, wake up and work, take a vacation and have time with family and friends. Have a balanced life with time management. Make your time useful.

Great to work with you too Joan – you’re right to identify that it’s always about attitude.

Great question Glenn – put first things first, as the great Steven Covey always said. So do the important not urgent’s even before the important urgent tasks – and when it’s our own “magic hour” – we all have a different time when we’re most productive and are in flow…

What’s interesting is that we’re all born equal when it comes to time, since we’re all given the same amount of time. As Tony Robbins says, a millionaire doesn’t work a million times more than someone who’s not, they’re just leveraging other people’s time. Time management and delegating is definitely skills that need to be mastered to be successful…

You’re spot on, Corinna. Applying the “stop doing” list is as important is prioritising the to-dos…

Without time management the more important things in life would suffer ,, eg if we had to work 15 hours a day just to keep a roof over our heads there would be no time for time with our family , to prepare decent meals , take care of our health , exercise including our menageries !!!!

I like the saying that time expands to fit the job. Things usually get done even if you have very little time to do them in.
